Ravi Shankar, Bihta. Traffic will be completely closed on Bihta-Khagaul main road from Kanhauli to Shivala Chowk from 18 December to 15 July 2026. The Sub-Divisional Officer of Danapur has issued instructions in this regard. National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will start road construction work from Kanhauli to Shivala Chowk after Bihta.
To complete this work smoothly and safely, all types of vehicular traffic will be completely stopped. He said that this decision has been taken to avoid any kind of accident during the construction work and to speed up the work.
However, the relief is that in view of the many schools and colleges established between Shivala Chowk and Kanhauli, the movement of vehicles has been allowed for limited time from 7:30 am to 8:30 am and 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. If there is a change in its timing in future, then these deadlines can also be changed.
provision of alternative routes
To maintain the traffic system between Bihta and Patna, the administration has decided on several alternative routes. Major routes like Bihta Chowk to Maner-Danapur Cantt or Maner-Sherpur-Chhitnawan-Usri Bazaar-Shiwala to Patna etc. have been included.
Apart from this, separate alternative routes have also been marked for small vehicles. Alternative routes have been determined for traffic between Ara (Bhojpur) to Patna.
The administration has appealed to the general public to use the prescribed alternative routes and follow traffic rules to avoid inconvenience. Only with the cooperation of the people will this construction work be completed on time and better road facilities will be available in future.
