Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarpur. 108 female Buddhist monks (nuns) from 13 countries will gather in Bakhra and Birpur of Saraiya. There will be a prayer meeting there from 8 to 9 in the morning and in Birpur from 1:30 to 3:30 in the afternoon.
Regarding this, DM has deployed officials to provide law and order and security. Civil surgeon and fire department have also been alerted. These have also been deployed.
District Art and Culture Officer has been nominated as the nodal officer for the success of the program. BDO and police station chief will be in charge of law and order at the place of prayer meeting.
At the same time, responsibility has been handed over to Saraiya CO and Kanti police station in Birpur. Recently, a meeting regarding this was held under the chairmanship of the Officer on Special Duty of the Chief Secretary. Secretary of Art, Culture and Youth Department, DM of East Champaran, West Champaran, Muzaffarpur and Vaishali were requested to ensure necessary arrangements.
It was told that the first anniversary of the great renunciation of 500 Shakya women is being organized in collaboration with The Light of Buddhadham Foundation International Organization.
108 female Buddhist monks will participate in this historic event. The objective of the program is to revive the historical path of sacrifice of Mahaprajapati. Its important part is in East and West Champaran along with Muzaffarpur and Vaishali. Therefore, the decision to hold a prayer meeting here has been taken.
