16 files related to Epstein missing from US Justice Department website (Photo- Social Media)

Digital Desk, New Delhi. At least 16 such files, long closed government documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, convicted of sexual crimes in America, disappeared from the website of the US Justice Department till Saturday. It also included a file which contained pictures of Trump.

In fact, the US Justice Department released thousands of pages of documents and hundreds of photos under the 'Epstein Files Transparency Act' passed by Congress. These include Epstein's investigation, flight logs, photographs and other records.

Who was in the pictures?

It is being told that these missing files were uploaded on the public website of the US Justice Department on Friday, which were removed from the public's access till Saturday. The missing files included photographs in which US President Donald Trump, his wife Melania Trump, Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell were seen together.

Also missing were photographs of artworks of naked women and a collage of several photographs kept in furniture and drawers. However, the US Justice Department has not yet clarified whether these files have been intentionally removed or are not visible on the website due to some technical error.

What is being hidden?

Since the files went missing from the Justice Department website, speculation has intensified on social media. Democratic members of the House Oversight Committee of the US Parliament raised questions about the disappearance of Trump's photo on the social media platform 'X' and asked, what else is being hidden? The American people want transparency.

Among the recently revealed information is that the Justice Department decided to drop the investigation into Epstein in the 2000s, which enabled him to be convicted on state-level charges, and a never-before-seen 1996 complaint that accused Epstein of stealing photographs of children.

The photos released so far prominently feature shots of Epstein's homes in New York City and the U.S. Virgin Islands, as well as some photos of celebrities and politicians.

A series of never-before-seen photos of former President Bill Clinton surfaced, but there were very few photos of Trump. Both their names were linked to Epstein, but later both distanced themselves from that friendship.
