Krishna Karunesh, Noida Authority CEO. Jagran Archive
Jagran correspondent, Noida. Dirty sewer water overflowing in the streets, drains running, garbage scattered everywhere, filth and filth everywhere. This identity has been created for all the villages of Noida. Following the instructions of Noida Authority CEO Krishna Karunesh, work has started towards taking out the urban village from this image.
The authority has decided that 81 villages which gave land to establish the city will now be developed in model form. After preparing its action plan, a blueprint for planned development in urban villages will be drawn. Work on this is likely to start soon.
It has been argued that Noida is the show window of the state. Its identity is on the global stage. In such a situation, the villages of this city should also be clean, beautiful and attractive. Despite spending Rs 125 crore every year on the development of the village, the situation is not improving. This budget is proving inadequate. In such a situation, villages should be developed in a phased manner.
Unplanned development took place in the village
Unplanned development has taken place in the villages. Therefore, instead of laying a new sewer line, every village will have to set up its own sewerage pumping station (SPS). Due to this, sewer water will not accumulate in the narrow streets and roads of the village. Using the sump well, it will come out and go to the Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP). Sewer lines of higher capacity cannot be laid by digging narrow streets and roads, hence the work will be carried out after repairing the already laid sewer lines.
25 percent fee will be charged on sewerage
To strengthen the water supply system in the village, every village will have its own UGR (underground reservoir). It will be completely separated from sectors and society. With this, there will be separate water supply for the village, because in the coming time, the authority is going to pay the water bill as per the water meter in the sector and society. At the same time, 25 percent fee will be charged on sewerage.
Will start from these villages
Those 15 to 17 villages have been included in the first phase because their condition is quite pathetic. This includes Haraula, Bhangel, Jhundpura, Soharkha, Salarpur, Mamura, Sadarpur, Garhi Shahdara, Atta, Naya Bas, Wajitpur, Chhalera, Sarfabad and other villages.
Water and sewer situation in the authority
Water supply to the village and its associated sectors is through a UGR. Many times the village gets less water. Many times there is water shortage in the sector. Similarly, the problem of sewerline overflow is also occurring due to pressure on the pumping stations in the village and sector.
