A Criminal Carrying A Reward Of Rs 25,000 Was Injured In The Encounter, He Was Wanted For Chain Snatching.

Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarnagar. There was an encounter between the Civil Lines police station and the criminal who snatched the chain from the woman. In which the criminal carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 got injured after being shot by the police. Bike, pistol and cartridges were recovered from its possession.

The criminal, along with his partner, had committed the incident of chain snatching on April 19 near Mahavir Chowk. 28 cases of theft, robbery and snatching are registered against him in various police stations of Delhi, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Meerut, Bulandshahr and Muzaffarnagar.

ASP Siddharth K Mishra said that the Civil Lines police station was checking near Sandhavali underpass late on Sunday evening. Then a suspicious person was seen coming on a bike, who was signaled to stop, but instead of stopping, he started running away at high speed on the bike.

Due to sharp turn his bike slipped and fell. Seeing himself surrounded, the miscreant opened fire on the police. While retaliating, the police also opened fire, in which Parvez Alam alias Tepe, resident of Rajban Bazar, Sadar Bazar, Meerut and Hall, resident of Sector 13 Shastri Nagar police station Nauchandi district, Meerut, got injured by the bullet.

The criminal told during interrogation that he along with his associate Uvaish alias Shooter, resident of Shastri Nagar police station Nauchandi, had committed chain snatching from Jat Colony, resident of Deepali Garg, in front of GIC ground. Uvaish has already been arrested.

Police station in-charge Inspector Ashutosh Kumar said that while he was wanted in the case of chain snatching, SSP Sanjay Kumar Verma had announced a reward of Rs 25 thousand. Even on Sunday, Bamash was planning to carry out some incident.
