-Passengers get off the bus as soon as they hear the fare
Jagran correspondent, Bijnair. In view of the Kanwar Yatra on Mahashivratri till 15th February, the route diversion plan has been implemented. Due to route diversion, fares from Bijnor to Haridwar and Bijnor to Moradabad have increased. Due to this, passengers going to Haridwar and Haridwar are avoiding roadways buses.
The distance from Bijnor to Haridwar via Najibabad is 97 km. And the fare is fixed at Rs 152, while the distance from Bijnor to Moradabad via Noorpur is 97 km and the fare is Rs 134. In view of the Kanwar Yatra on the occasion of Mahashiv Ratri, the route was diverted from February 8. After the route was diverted, roadways buses going from Bijnor to Haridwar are now being run via Muzaffarnagar, while Pali buses going to Moradabad are being run via Kashipur.
After the route divert, now the distance from Bijnor to Haridwar via Muzaffarnagar has increased by 61 km. The fare has increased by Rs 101. Similarly, the distance from Bijnor to Moradabad via Noorpur has increased by 43 km and fare has increased by Rs 59. According to the officials of the Transport Corporation, the passengers traveling to Haridwar are directly reaching the bus stand, but as soon as the conductor tells them the fare and route, the passengers get down from the bus.
Due to route diversion, they are avoiding roadways buses. ARM Ashok Kumar said that due to route diversion during the Kanwar Mela, roadways buses are being run from Bijnor to Haridwar via Muzaffarnagar. Due to increasing distances and fares, very few passengers are traveling in roadways buses.
