The wedding ceremony took place on the occasion of Mahashivratri.
Samvad Sutra, Haveli Kharagpur (Munger). On the occasion of Mahashivratri, a free mass marriage ceremony for economically weaker families was organized by Haveli Kharagpur branch of Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Parivar on Monday in a private hotel located in Marwari Tola of the city. The marriage of the two couples was solemnized with traditional rituals amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras and devotional musical atmosphere.
In the ceremony, Prakash Murmu tied the knot with Surma Kumari and Ravi Kumar tied the knot with Parvati Kumari. All the rituals of marriage were duly performed. Bhagwatcharya Vikas Bharti explained the religious, practical and scientific importance of marriage rituals to the people present in simple language amid Vedic mantras.
The chief guests of the program were SDM Rajeev Roshan, Trainee DSP cum Police Station Head Mithilesh Kumar Tiwari and Police Station Head Rajesh Kumar. Former Chief Councilor Deepa Keshari and former Deputy Chief Councilor Shambhu Keshari were also present as special guests. The guests blessed the newly married couples and wished them a happy married life.
Trainee DSP Mithilesh Kumar Tiwari said that this effort of Gayatri family towards promoting simplicity, equality and culture based marital tradition is commendable. Such events not only strengthen social harmony but also provide economic and social support to needy families.
