Area Panchayat member's name removed from voter list.
Jagran correspondent, Mehndawal. The matter of deletion of the name of the current Area Panchayat Member (BDC) of Samda from the voter list in Mehdawal development block has come to light. The victim has complained to the SDM and accused the BLO of cutting off his name by showing him as deceased. SDM has ordered investigation in this matter.
In the complaint letter given to the SDM, Abhay Kumar has mentioned that the Panchayat election voter list has been published. In which the name of my mother Manju Devi, wife Ravindra and aunt Nisha's name are deleted.
He alleged that when the BLO was contacted, he informed that the name has been deleted due to him being deceased. The victim has claimed that both his mother Manju Devi and aunt Nisha are alive. While Manju Devi is currently an area Panchayat member and her aunt Nisha is an Anganwadi worker.
The victim has alleged that the names of both were removed from the election list completely arbitrarily by the BLO. Taking this matter seriously, SDM Mehndawal has ordered investigation.
SDM Sanjeev Kumar Rai said that the matter is being investigated by taking the complaint seriously. Necessary action will be taken as soon as the report is received.
BDO Mehndawal Rajesh Srivastava said that ADO Panchayat and Supervisor Sanjay Kumar told that the Aadhar card was repeatedly asked by the BLO, but the Aadhar card was not given by him, due to which the name has been deleted. The name has not been crossed out by showing the deceased, the name has been crossed out by showing it outside. This will be rectified.
