Asked for Rs 5000 in exchange for benefit in the case

Jagran correspondent, Arwal. ASI (Assistant Sub Inspector) Mujtaba Ali posted at Vanshi police station of the district has been arrested red-handed by the team of the surveillance department while taking a bribe of Rs 5,000. In a fight between two brothers, the ASI was taking bribe in exchange for favoring one in the case.

The victim Mukesh Paswan had complained about this in the surveillance department, Mukesh is a resident of Kurwanma village of Vanshi police station area. A bribe of five thousand rupees was demanded from Mukesh Kumar to get benefit in the case diary. On Wednesday, when Mukesh had come to give five thousand rupees, the surveillance team from Patna caught the ASI from a tea shop near the police station.

Money in exchange for benefit in the case

ASI Mutjaba Ali is a resident of Lahariyasarai in Darbhanga district. He has been arrested from outside Vanshi police station and taken to Arwal Circuit House where he is being interrogated. The raid team included DSP Wasim Kumar, Sanjay Kumar and Santosh Kumar of the surveillance department.

Earlier, there had been an incident of fighting between the two brothers Mukesh Paswan and Munna Paswan over water spilling dispute, in which a total of eight people from both the sides were injured. A case was registered from both sides in Vanshi police station.
