Jagran correspondent, Lucknow. Mumbai bound Pushpak Express will run from Gomti Nagar station instead of Lucknow Junction from January 26. 10 minutes after leaving Gomtinagar, Pushpak Express will stop at Badshahnagar station and leave directly for Unnao.
By not providing stoppage at Aishbagh station, Railways has increased the problems of the passengers of a large part of the city. Now only seven days are left for changing the station, but Railways has not yet taken any decision to give a five-minute halt to Pushpak Express at Aishbagh station.
This is when Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and SP MLA Ravidas Mehrotra have sent a letter to the Railways requesting them to stop at Aishbagh station.
Pushpak Express, which started on April 1, 1987, is operating from Lucknow Junction only. At that time, meter gauge (small gauge) and broad gauge (large gauge) trains operated from a total of five platforms at Lucknow Junction. Along with making Gomtinagar station world class, Railways has given orders to shift two trains of Lucknow Junction, Pushpak Express and Lucknow Junction-Chhapra Express from January 26.
Under this, Pushpak Express will leave Gomtinagar station at 8:45 pm every day and reach Badshahnagar station only 10 minutes later at 8:55 pm. After the train leaves here at 9 pm, the next stop of the train is Unnao at 10:20 pm.
In such a situation, due to the negligence of railway officials, Pushpak Express was given stoppage at Badshahnagar station adjacent to Gomtinagar, but it did not get stoppage at the important Aishbagh station. Due to this, people of surrounding areas including Rae Bareli Road, Kanpur Road, Para, Rajajipuram Chowk and Cantt will have to face difficulties due to lack of stoppage at Aishbagh station.
They will have to deal with the traffic jam in Badshahnagar and will have to cover a long distance to Gomtinagar. The North Eastern Railway Lucknow Division Administration has also sent a proposal for stoppage at Aishbagh station of Pushpak to the zonal headquarters.
