Work stopped in banks on 12th February, nationwide strike in protest against labor code.

Jagran correspondent, Chhapra. Bank strike has been organized across the country on February 12 on the joint call of All India Bank Employees Association, Bank Employees Federation of India and All India Bank Officers Association, the largest organizations of bank employees. Due to this nationwide strike, work will be completely stalled in all the public sector banks of the district including Chhapra.

This strike is also in support of the general strike called to protest against the serious flaws present in the four labor codes proposed by the Central Government.

Bank unions say that these labor codes will adversely affect the interests of the employees, hence this agitation is being carried out with the aim of forcing the government to modify them.

He said that the general strike proposed by ten central labor organizations of the country has the moral support of other organizations of the banking sector as well. District Secretary of Bihar Provincial Bank Employees Association Manoj Kumar Singh, General Secretary of All India Bank Officers Association S.N. Pathak, Manoj Kumar Thakur of Bank Employees Federation of India and Jaishankar Prasad, Assistant General Secretary of Bihar State Central Bank Officers Association, have jointly appealed to the bank employees to make the strike successful.
