Slaughter house in Jahangirabad sealed after beef test report came positive.
Digital Desk, Bhopal. A big case of beef smuggling has come to light in the capital Bhopal. After the confirmation of cow slaughter in the slaughter house operated on PPP mode of the Municipal Corporation, the police took strict action and sealed the slaughter house. In this case, an FIR has been registered against two people including director Aslam Qureshi under the Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act, they have been arrested and sent to jail.
Hindu organizations had stopped a suspicious container right in front of the Police Headquarters (PHQ) on the night of 17 December. This truck with UP registration number was loaded with 26 tonnes of meat. It was revealed that this meat was not loaded from anywhere else but from the state-of-the-art slaughter house of Bhopal Municipal Corporation.
To keep the meat safe, it was kept in a special AC van and the packets had QR codes and special tags. The police reached there and took meat samples and released the container. The laboratory test report was confirmed to be beef two days ago. After that, the police registered a case under the Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act on Wednesday midnight and arrested the operator Aslam Qureshi and the container driver and sent them to jail. Aslam Qureshi has the responsibility of picking up the bodies of dead cows of the Municipal Corporation, due to which the seriousness of the matter has increased.
VHP state co-minister Jitendra Singh Chauhan said that the 26 tonnes of meat caught by Bajrang Dal has been confirmed to be beef. It was slaughtered in the slaughter house run by the Municipal Corporation. The municipal administration is responsible for this crime. Action should also be taken against the Municipal Commissioner and the Mayor. Chandrashekhar Tiwari, president of Sanskriti Bachao Manch and Hindu Utsav Committee, has called it a 'severe attack on faith'.
Was sending beef to other states
In the case of beef smuggling, Jahangirabad police has arrested slaughter house livestock operator Aslam Qureshi alias Aslam Leather and container operator Shoaib. Police say that the accused were transporting beef from the Livestock Slaughter House located in Jinsi to other states.

Responsibility: The Slaughter House is being operated by the Municipal Corporation on PPP mode. In such a situation, the Municipal Corporation should have conducted periodic inspection and reports of the activities there, but no attention was paid to it.
We have only provided land for the slaughter house. It operates on PPP mode. We have no direct interference in that. Prima facie, the veterinary staff should have examined it. We are fixing its responsibility. Action will be taken against those responsible.
