Jagran correspondent, Bareilly. The sub-inspector and constable of Baradari police station played a game and got the passport of Jogi Nawada shooting accused Saurabh Rathore made. When the complaint regarding this matter reached SSP Anurag Arya, he got the investigation done. During investigation, all the allegations were found to be true. After this, the SSP has imposed a fine equivalent to seven days' salary deduction on the Inspector and the constable and has also started the process of canceling the passport.
Saurabh Rathore, resident of Baradari police station area, is a domineering type of youth. Eight cases including murderous attack, rioting and Arms Act have been registered against him in Baradari police station. In December 2024, the accused, along with his associates, had carried out a deadly attack on advocate Reena Singh's husband, her brother-in-law and brother-in-law.
Seven cases are registered against the accused before the year 2024. Even after this, when accused Saurabh Rathore applied for passport in the year 2024, Inspector Rohit Sharma and constable Deepak Tomar filed a misleading report of clean chit, hiding all his criminal history. The report only mentioned his trial in which he was acquitted by the court.
Due to clean chit in the police report, his passport was prepared and issued from the passport office. Last year, when the complaint regarding this matter reached SSP Anurag Arya, he handed over the investigation of the entire matter to SP Traffic Akmal Khan. SP Traffic in its investigation report held Inspector Rohit Sharma and constable Deepak Tomar guilty.
It was told that even after a case was registered against the accused Saurabh, he was given a clean chit. Taking strict action in this matter, SSP Anurag Arya has imposed a fine equal to seven days' salary on Inspector Rohit Sharma and constable Deepak Tomar on the report of SP Traffic. Besides, the process to cancel the passport of Saurabh Rathore has also been started.
After a complaint was received, the entire matter was investigated by SP Traffic and the allegations were found to be true. After this, a fine equal to seven days' salary has been imposed on Inspector Rohit Sharma and constable Deepak Tomar.
