Jagran correspondent, Agra. The hosiery products manufacturing firm was investigated by the team of State Tax Department (SGST). The vehicles related to the purchase shown by the firm were not seen passing through the toll plaza. An initial deposit of Rs 40 lakh has been made from the firm.
State tax department investigated the firm manufacturing hosiery products
According to Additional Commissioner Grade Two Anjani Kumar, the data of purchase and sale of hosiery products manufacturer Kamal Hosiery Products was analyzed. In this, sales were not being declared as per the actual stock, the stock was being shown. An investigation was conducted by the team on the suspicion of tax evasion. The firm not only manufactures hosiery products but also sells them.
Many vehicles related to the purchase of the firm were not seen passing through Tola Plaza.
Movement of vehicles related to the purchases being made by the firm was seen at Tola Plaza but the vehicles concerned were not seen passing through Tola Plaza. Tax evasion was confirmed in the investigation, difference between declared and physical stock was also found. 40 lakhs were deposited by the firm. Further investigation is being done, based on which more tax and penalty is likely to be collected.
