Mathura Is At The Forefront In Violation Of Traffic Rules, Highest Number Of Driving Licenses Are Canceled In Agra Division.

Jagran correspondent, Agra. Maximum action was taken against the people of Mathura in case of breaking traffic rules. Driving licenses (DL) of 234 drivers in Mathura were suspended by RTO. Agra stood second in terms of action, where DLs of 136 drivers were suspended.

The main causes of accidents are over speed, drunk driving and overloading. On the evening of 24 October 2025, five people were run over by a drunk driver while driving a car on Kendriya Hindi Sansthan Marg. In which five pedestrians were killed. There was no DL on driver Anshul Gupta.

The police had registered a case against him under section of the MV Act. Police and RTO are tightening the noose on drivers to effectively curb road accidents and ensure traffic rules are followed. The DL of drivers who endanger people's lives is being suspended.

DLs of 537 drivers have been suspended in one year on the recommendation of the traffic police and during the campaign by the RTO. In which maximum 234 DLs are from Mathura followed by 136 from Agra.

Whereas DL of 84 drivers in Mainpuri and 83 in Firozabad were suspended. RTO Enforcement Akhilesh Kumar Dwivedi said that action to suspend DL will also be taken against other drivers who continuously violate rules on the roads.
