State Bureau, Patna. The state government is going to take a big step to stop fraud and rigging in land registration in the state. Now at the time of land registration, GIS mapping (Geographic Information System mapping) of the plot portion will also be done.
In this, a photograph will also have to be uploaded along with the latitude and longitude of the plot, so that the plot can be verified. The Prohibition, Excise and Registration Department has started work on this scheme.
Registration DIG Sushil Kumar Suman said that there is a proposal to do GIS mapping of the land. Software is being prepared for this. It will be implemented soon.
According to departmental information, with the use of GIS technology, digitization of land related information, mapping and accurate analysis of geographical references will be possible.
This will not only bring transparency in the registration process but will also improve citizen facilities. It can also be viewed online through GIS mapping along with the picture of the plot. This will make identification of land easier.
