Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarpur. Muzaffarpur Revenue Review Meeting: Divisional Commissioner Girivar Dayal Singh has expressed deep displeasure over the delay in execution of land related cases. In the review meeting held on Saturday, he gave strict instructions to the officials to ensure timely, transparent and quality execution of cases related to land disputes.

Additional Collectors (Revenue) and Land Reforms Deputy Collectors (DCLR) of all the districts under the division were present in the meeting. The Commissioner said that unnecessary delay in land related matters causes serious trouble to the general public. In such a situation, cases like filing-dismissal (mutation), Parimarjan Plus (digitized Jamabandi), Abhiyan Basera, land measurement and pending Jamabandi should be executed on priority basis.

He clearly said that it is the responsibility of the administration that no person should have to visit government offices again and again for work related to his own land. In this sequence, the Commissioner directed all the ADMs (Revenue) and DCLRs to compulsorily remain present in their office rooms every Monday and Friday and hold public dialogues and solve the problems of the common people on the spot.

The Commissioner said that this will not only lead to quick disposal of cases, but will also strengthen the trust of the general public towards the administration. Along with this, he directed that on every Saturday, cases related to land disputes should be jointly heard by the zonal officer and the police station head at the zonal level. This process should be legal and timely execution of cases should be ensured, so that no law and order problem arises due to land dispute.

He also said that ADMs and DCLRs should hold courts regularly and expedite the disposal of pending cases. The strict stance of the Commissioner has indicated that now action will be taken against negligence in land matters.
