North Bihar dominates Project Good, Muzaffarpur tops and Samastipur at third place
Prakash Kumar, Samastipur. Samastipur has been ranked third in the state in Project Based Learning program (a method of learning in which students learn through projects). Muzaffarpur is at the top and Kaimur is at the second place. Out of 990 schools in Samastipur, projects of 873 have been good.
According to the state level report, 908 schools of the district have performed excellently in the project by completing it with evidence. The report has been released by Bihar Education Project on December 5. This success reflects the commitment of the teachers, but is also a strong step towards inculcating scientific attitude and experimental education among the students.
Out of total 28 thousand 987 schools in the state, 20 thousand 857 schools have registered their participation in the project. Whereas, 18 thousand 802 schools have completed the project and 18 thousand 75 schools have uploaded the evidence.
Muzaffarpur district remained at the forefront. Where out of total 1391 schools, 1346 schools participated in the project. Of these, 1332 schools completed the project and 1276 uploaded the evidence. Kaimur district has got the second position. Here, out of total 590 schools, 94 percent participated, while 93 percent have completed the project. The projects of 91 percent schools were good.
Students have the opportunity to work on projects:
Under the Project Based Learning PBL program, students are getting the opportunity to work on projects based on textbooks of classes six to eight in mathematics and science subjects. Students in this program are encouraged to learn and develop problem-solving skills through real-world experiences.
Promote thinking, problem solving skills of students:
District Education Coordinator Arjun Kumar said that schools have done better work in the Project Based Learning program with the cooperation of teachers. PBL or Project Based Learning is a teaching method. In which students learn actively through investigation and response to a complex problem or challenge. It helps students develop knowledge and skills through real-world experiences. Also promotes skills like communication. Project based learning is a teaching method in which one is given the opportunity to solve problems, experiment and learn.
Increases confidence and motivation in students:
District technical member Rituraj Jaiswal said that the project based learning program is being implemented in a better way. Students have the opportunity to learn through real-world experiences. Skills like critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration and communication develop. Confidence and motivation increases in students. It prepares students for future education and career. The PBL program is providing a valuable learning experience for the students. Which not only helps them gain knowledge but also develop important life skills.
Samastipur district secured third position at the state level in the Project Based Learning Programme.
