Samvad Sutra, Ramgarh Chowk (Lakhisarai). On Wednesday night at Sondhi Chowk of Tetarhat police station area of Lakhisarai, three unknown miscreants snatched a bike and a blank check from a person at gunpoint.
According to the police and villagers, the name of the victim is Manish Kumar, a resident of Khairama village of Halsi police station area and supervisor of ITC brand milk company. Manish Kumar was returning to his village Khairma after finishing his work at BMC at around 9 pm on Wednesday night.
According to sources, while chasing from Narayanpur village, the three miscreants riding a bike stopped them at Sondhi Chowk. The miscreants injured Manish Kumar by attacking him with the butt of the pistol and snatched the bike, check diary and other documents kept from him and fled away.
After the incident, Manish Kumar reached Sondhi village and informed the villagers about the incident. The villagers immediately informed Tetarhat police station. Police reached the spot and inspected the spot and interrogated the people nearby.
On Thursday, Manish Kumar gave a written application at Tetarhat police station. Superintendent of Police and Police Station President Vidyanand Kumar said that investigation into the incident has been started and soon the culprits will be caught and judicial action will be taken.
Condemning the incident, local people said that such incidents at night are creating an atmosphere of fear in the area. The police have also assured that by increasing vigilance and speeding up the investigation, the criminals will be arrested soon.
