Meeting of CM Mohan Yadav and Maldives Minister in Davos

On the occasion of World Economic Forum-2026, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav had a one-to-one discussion with Maldives' Economic Development and Trade Minister Mohammad Sayeed in Davos. The meeting considered taking forward cooperation in various fields including medicine, education, wildlife conservation and cultural exchange, making tourism a common basis.

During this bilateral meeting held in Davos, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that there are many areas between Madhya Pradesh and Maldives, where long-term partnership can be developed on the basis of mutually complementary capabilities. He particularly mentioned medical tourism, fisheries, education, health services, wildlife conservation and cultural activities as major dimensions of cooperation.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh's rich bio-diversity, internationally renowned wildlife sanctuaries, rapidly emerging medical infrastructure and cultural heritage make the state a capable partner for global cooperation. He also underlined that tourism-based cooperation will strengthen investment, skill development and people-to-people contacts.

Maldives Economic Development and Trade Minister Mohammed Saeed described tourism as a natural and powerful bridge between the two regions. He said that Maldives is keen to pursue opportunities in tourism, human resource development and experience sharing with Madhya Pradesh.

Dialogue an important initiative towards strengthening international cooperation

During the meeting, both sides agreed to institutionalize mutual dialogue, encourage delegation level visits and move forward on a concrete roadmap of cooperation. This conversation, held on the platform of the World Economic Forum in Davos, is being seen as an important initiative towards strengthening international cooperation.
