Samvad Sutra, Baghauli. An overloaded truck filled with sugarcane took the life of a student. A student riding a bicycle died in a collision with a truck laden with sugarcane at Udaipur turn on the Baghauli-Madhauganj road. Angered by the incident, the villagers blocked the road. Even after the persuasion of CO Baghauli Praveen Yadav, he remained adamant on the demand of calling DM and SP. On the assurance of ADM Sadar Sushil Kumar Mishra, the villagers believed that the deposit could be opened after three hours.
Shikha of village Udanpurva of Baghauli was a student of class 12th. She studied in Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Inter College located at Baghauli Square. Was going home on bicycle after leave on Wednesday evening. An overloaded truck filled with sugarcane coming from behind hit him at the turn leading to the village on the Baghauli-Madhauganj road. Shikha died on the spot in the accident. The driver ran away leaving the truck. As soon as the accident occurred, a crowd of villagers gathered at the spot. On getting information the relatives came to the spot.
Angered by the incident, relatives and villagers blocked the road. On receiving the information, CO Baghauli Praveen Yadav reached the spot with the police team. They were not ready to accept the CO's explanation.
Remained adamant on the demand of calling SP and DM. On the assurance of ADM Sadar Sushil Kumar Mishra, the passersby heaved a sigh of relief when the jam was cleared after three hours, considering it to be a family member and villager. Police station in-charge Brijesh Mishra said that the truck has been seized. Further action will be taken upon receiving the complaint.
