On Monday, the Block Education Officer conducted an investigation regarding the viral video of beating of children by turning them into cocks in the upper primary school located in Amroli alias Bada village of Falavada police station area. Took statements of the victim children and parents and sent the report to BSA. District Basic Education Officer Asha Chaudhary has suspended the accused in-charge teacher Govind Singh with immediate effect.
A video of the upper primary school located in Amroli alias Bada village had gone viral. In this, Principal Govind Jatav is seen making some children into cocks. Some girls are standing with their hands raised. The matter reached the police-administrative and education officials. Mawana BEO Trivendra Kumar reached Monday school on Monday.
Stayed there for two hours and recorded the statements of the headmaster, children and their parents. The children concerned told why the headmaster had scolded them. Statements of other children of the class were also taken. According to the BEO, investigation revealed that some children were not coming in dress despite being asked to do so. For this the headmaster punished him. However, it is wrong to give this kind of punishment.
Principal meets CO, complains on CM portal
Principal Govind Jatav, in his application to CO Pankaj Lavania, alleged that he was making children do yoga under the National Education Policy-2020. Meanwhile, two unknown persons came with Kallu alias Hasibul Rizvi from the same village and behaved indecently with him with caste based words. All three accused them of teaching children against the tradition of Islam. It is alleged that he threatened to shoot and also assaulted him. The headmaster has also complained on the Chief Minister portal.
Violation of Right to Education Act
Beating children in school is a serious violation of Section 17 of the Right to Education Act-2009 and Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act 2015. It places a complete ban on corporal punishment and mental harassment. Under this, action can be taken against the teacher if found guilty in the investigation.
