Jagran correspondent, Haridwar. Sant Samaj has intensified the movement against the assault, indecency and arrest of Yeti Parmanand Giri in the Mohammad Deepak episode of Kotdwar. In this sequence, on Monday, a group of saints started a padyatra from Haridwar to the Chief Minister's residence.

It was told that Swami Yatiransimhanand Giri, a disciple of Mahamandaleshwar Yati Narasimhanand Giri, associated with Shri Panchadashnam Juna Akhara, along with his associate saints - Yati Ramswaroopanand Giri, Yati Parmatmanand Giri and Mahant Yogi Sarojnath, set out on a padayatra from Sarvanand Ghat at around 11:30 am on Tuesday morning.

The saints say that the police action in the Kotdwar case is against the dignity of the saint community and strict action should be taken against the guilty police personnel. With this demand in mind, this march was taken out with the aim of conveying our voice to the Chief Minister.

According to sources, during the padyatra the police tried to stop the saints from moving forward. After this the saints moved ahead in various vehicles. Police are now searching for him on the basis of his mobile location.
