Communication Assistant, Rajauli (Nawada). The issue of settlement of many outsiders from different areas of Jharkhand state on forest department land in the border forest area of Rajauli police station and Sirdala police station of Rajauli assembly constituency has now reached the assembly.

On Tuesday, LJP (Ram Vilas) MLA from Rajauli Assembly, Vimal Rajvanshi, raised questions in the House regarding this serious issue and demanded an impartial investigation from the government.

The MLA, while informing the Assembly Speaker about the entire situation, alleged that there is no official account available with the Bihar government of the people living on the said forest land.

After all, for what purpose did these people come here, on what basis was their permanent or temporary residence established? How are they living in such a dense forest? No concrete investigation has been conducted on all these points till now.

He also alleged that with the alleged connivance of the local administration, the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Gramin were made available to these outsiders settled on Forest Department land.

If this allegation is true then it is not only a violation of rules but also a big question on the transparency of government schemes.

MLA Vimal Rajvanshi demanded a high-level investigation into the entire matter and took strict action against the culprits. It was also said that some local public representatives out of selfishness worked to register the names of these people in the voter list, so that they could get the benefit of votes in the Panchayat elections.

It is noteworthy that Dainik Jagran has been publishing news on this sensitive issue many times. Now that the matter is echoing in the Assembly, all eyes are on the next action of the local administration and the forest department.

Now it remains to be seen whether after the voice raised in the House, the administration investigates and clarifies the real situation or the matter remains confined to the files like before.
