Jagran correspondent, Kasganj. The severed head of a retired teacher resident of Jagat village of Alapur police station area of Badaun, who was missing since February 2, was recovered. The head looked several days old. The relative identified him from the clothes found nearby. The investigation of the case will be sent to Badaun Police.
On Saturday morning, blood stained clothes of a man were seen lying in the fields of village Ganeshpur of Sahawar police station area. The police was informed about the possibility of something untoward. A severed human head was also lying at a distance from the clothes. It seemed as if animals had torn the meat.
Seeing the video of the incident on the internet media, Omveer, a resident of village Jagat of Alapur police station area of Badaun, reached there on Monday and contacted the police. CO Shahida Nasreen says that Omveer identified the head on the basis of clothes as that of his father, retired teacher Harikrishna.
He told that he had left home to Bareilly on February 2 to get medicine. Talked to him on mobile phone till 10 pm. After this the mobile phone was switched off.
A missing complaint was lodged at Alapur police station. The CO said that the torso is being searched. Along with this, information has been given to Alapur Police. The missing person is registered there, hence the investigation will also be done from there. Police will also conduct DNA test for identification.
