The team did door-to-door screening

The investigation team included Dr Mohammad Asad, Sushil Tiwari, Deepak Kumar Yadav and Dr Usha Panda along with lab technicians, community health officers (CHOs) and Sahiyas. The team visited every house in the village and conducted screening and immediately provided essential medicines and health counseling to the patients.

Health department's advice for villagers

Chickenpox is an infectious disease that spreads rapidly. Keeping this in mind, the team has given the following suggestions to the villagers:

Situation under control, administration alert

The Health Department has appealed to the villagers not to panic, because timely treatment of chickenpox is possible. The administration has put Sirisabani Health Sub-centre and Ghatshila Community Health Center (CHC) on high alert. Constant monitoring is being done in the village so that the infection can be prevented from spreading beyond the village limits.
