CM Yogi launched 'One District-One Dish' scheme on UP Day
Digital Desk, Lucknow. Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah inaugurated Uttar Pradesh Day-2026 at Rashtra Prerna Sthal on Saturday. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed the Home Minister by giving him a memento. The Chief Minister congratulated the people of the state on UP Day and also read out the message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Referring to 'One District-One Cuisine' (ODOC), CM Yogi said that this scheme will become the strength of UP.
Local food products will now be able to get global recognition. CM Yogi said that today One District-One Cuisine (ODOC) scheme has been implemented with the approval of the Home and Cooperation Minister. With this, 75 types of food items from 75 districts will now become the new strength of UP. People can get good hygiene food, food items, ingredients made from grains, geo-tag the local products and then give it global recognition, along with its packaging, branding, designing and export of that product as per the national and global demand, this opportunity will now be available for every cuisine in UP.
Contribution of 'ODOP' in self-reliant India: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that this event is being organized in all 75 districts and every state of the state along with Rashtra Prerna Sthal. Wherever the people of Uttar Pradesh are in the country, state and world, they are joining this event. When Uttar Pradesh organized its Foundation Day program for the first time in 2018, the Governor at that time was Ram Naik ji and the current Home Minister Amit Shah ji was the National President of BJP. With his inspiration, we took forward the traditional enterprises in the form of ‘One District-One Product’ (ODOP). Today this scheme has become the new strength of self-reliant Uttar Pradesh and is contributing to self-reliant India.
CM Yogi said that those who have done something special for the country out of the box. Five such personalities have been honored with UP Gaurav Samman. These personalities have contributed to the Prime Minister's vision of a developed India through their innovation, research and hard work. CM congratulated the personalities who were honored.
The Chief Minister said that today 'Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment and Industrial Zone' scheme was also launched for the youth of UP. It will be developed in an area of 100 acres in every district. Any youth who is willing to start a job or business, his scale will be changed in skill development according to his ability and capability. To advance the employment prospects for them in UP, this special scheme is also being started with the approval of the Home Minister.
During this, Union Minister and BJP state president Pankaj Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, Yogi government ministers Jaiveer Singh, Rakesh Sachan, Lucknow Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, MP Sanjay Seth, Brajlal, Legislative Council member Mahendra Singh, Mukesh Sharma, Lalji Prasad Nirmal, Ramchandra Pradhan, MLA Neeraj Bora, Jai Devi, Rajeshwar Singh, Amresh Kumar, OP Srivastava and Yogesh Shukla were present.
