Dialogue partner, Pusa. Cold day conditions will persist in the districts of North Bihar till December 20. Samastipur remained in the grip of fog and severe cold since morning on Friday also. According to the Meteorological Department, the cold wave will continue in North Bihar and the period of fluctuations will continue with the drop in temperature. On the other hand, Friday was the coldest day in Samastipur after 23 years.

The maximum temperature has broken the record. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature recorded on Friday was 15.5 and the minimum temperature was 11.0 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature was recorded seven degrees below normal, while the minimum temperature was recorded almost one degree more. There is a possibility of slight improvement in the weather in the districts of North Bihar from Monday.

Dr. A Sattar, meteorologist of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, said that the sky may remain light cloudy in the districts of North Bihar. There will be light to moderate fog in the morning. Cold day conditions have arisen due to entry of cold air from the upper part of the atmosphere and blowing of the westerly wind. Due to this, dense fog may persist at some places till late morning. There is a possibility of slight improvement in the weather in the next two days.

Protection of animals along with crops is necessary

The Meteorological Department says that in the next four days the maximum temperature is likely to be between 18 to 22 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be between 12 to 13 degrees Celsius. During this period, westerly wind can blow at a speed of three to five kilometers per hour. There is a possibility of easterly wind around 22nd December.

Keeping in view the weather patterns, scientists have advised to protect the animals along with the protection of crops. Told that animals should not be kept in open places. Use dry grass or hay for bedding. To prevent liver flu disease, do not feed paddy straw. To protect the crop, moisture has to be maintained in the fields. Irrigation has to be done when there is lack of moisture.
