Prabhat Ranjan, Patna. A huge drop was recorded in the temperature of the capital. The maximum temperature fell by eight degrees below normal in 24 hours, making it the coldest day of the season, breaking a 14-year record.
According to the data received from Meteorological Center Patna, Patna was the coldest on December 19 this year in 14 years. Talking about the maximum temperature of the past years, the maximum temperature of Patna in December remained between 27-32 degree Celsius.
In 2023, the maximum temperature of the capital was recorded at 32.0 degrees Celsius on December 3. Due to snowfall in snowy areas and western disturbance, the cold westerly wind coming from the Himalayan regions has brought a sudden change in the temperature of the capital.
Apart from this, the moisture content in the air is 94 percent. With the wind speed becoming normal, the effect of dense fog is being seen. Due to high humidity in the plains situated on the banks of Ganga, the density of fog increases.
