Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. The admission process for the academic session 2026-27 has started in CM Shri Schools of the capital Delhi.
The Directorate of Education has said that this time the admission will be completely based on the entrance examination. After being allotted school, transfer will not be done under any circumstances. In such a situation, special care should be taken by parents and students while filling the school options.
Online applications will start from today
According to the Education Department, online applications for admission in classes 6th, 9th and 11th will start from Friday, while the last date of application has been fixed as March 12. Admission will be available only to those students who are residents of Delhi and have studied in recognized schools of Delhi in the academic session 2025-26.
This time, students of government schools have been given priority in the admission process. Out of the total seats, 50 percent seats will be reserved for students who have passed class 5th, 8th and 10th from government schools.
The Education Department says that its objective is to provide an advanced educational environment to the meritorious students of government schools. OMR based objective examination will be conducted for admission. The examination of class 6th will be bilingual and there will be no negative marking.
At the same time, the exams of class 9th and 11th will be in English medium and negative marking will be applicable in them. There will be an examination of 300 marks for class 6th and 400 marks for class 9th and 11th.
The Directorate of Education said that the entrance examination for classes 6th and 9th will be held till the last week of March. The target has been set to complete the entire admission process by April 30. Whereas the entrance examination for class 11th will be held in May.

Officials say that in view of the limited seats and competitive selection process, there may be tough competition for admission to CM Shree Schools this year. Parents should apply for their children only through the official website of the Directorate of Education.
