Jagran correspondent, Patna. Bihar scored a huge score of 714 runs at the loss of eight wickets against Nagaland on Saturday due to Prithvi Raj's double century (282) in the Colonel CK Nayudu Trophy Plate group match.

By the end of the second day of the four-day Under-23 match being played at Sovima Cricket Ground (Sovima), Nagaland, the host team has scored 25 runs at the loss of one wicket in 20 overs.

In the match, for Bihar, Prashant Kumar scored 140 runs, Shashank Upadhyay scored 113 runs, Deepak scored 59 runs and Aditya Raj scored 52 runs. Playing ahead of 99 runs on the first day for Bihar, Prithvi Raj played a brilliant inning of 282 runs in 271 balls, which included 23 fours and nine sixes. His strike rate was more than 104.

Prashant Kumar played a restrained inning of 140 runs in 223 balls, while wicketkeeper Shashank Upadhyay strengthened the middle order by scoring 113 runs.

Apart from this, Deepak (59), Aditya Raj (52) and captain Suraj Kashyap (41) also made useful contributions. Bihar scored 714 runs in 157.3 overs at a run rate of 4.53. Keduowhatuo was the most successful in bowling for Nagaland, taking five wickets for 213 runs and three maidens in 45.3 overs.

In reply, Nagaland suffered a setback in the very beginning of the first innings. Keneizetuo Rio is unbeaten on 8 and Raja Swarnkar is unbeaten on 1 run. Mughavi Sumi was out after scoring 15 runs. Bihar's bowling remained tight, with Suman Kumar taking the only wicket.
