Ayurveda workshop concluded in Kashi Hindu University, emphasis on holistic health.

A short-term course-cum-awareness workshop on “Ayurveda for Holistic Health” organized by the Center for India Studies, Banaras Hindu University concluded on Wednesday. This occasion was not just the conclusion of an educational program, but became an inspiring moment to remember Indian knowledge-tradition, health-culture and life-values.

The topic of the concluding class was “Concept of Health in Ayurveda: Disease Prevention and Health Promotion”, which was given by Prof. J. S. Tripathi presented it in a very simple, scientific and effective style. In his lecture, he clarified that Ayurveda is not just a method of disease treatment, but a powerful science of overall health protection through balanced daily routine, restrained diet, mental happiness and positive outlook on life. He gave the message to the participants to move towards a healthy, energetic and long life by adopting a conscious lifestyle.

On this occasion, Coordinator of India Study Centre, Prof. Sharadindu Kumar Tiwari said that this course is an attempt to revive that invaluable tradition of Indian knowledge stream, which paves the way for the coordinated development of body, mind and consciousness. He inspired the students and participants to incorporate Ayurvedic life values ​​in their daily conduct and stressed the need for building a healthy and conscious society.

In the program Prof. C.B. Jha threw light on the medicinal tradition, scientific depth and practical utility of Ayurveda. He said that Ayurveda is a powerful stream of self-reliance, harmony with nature and life-discipline, which can play an important role in the health empowerment of the nation.

Course Coordinator of the course, Dr. Geeta Bhatt expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all the guests, teachers, participants, colleagues and media representatives and said that this entire program has infused new energy and inspiration towards health-consciousness, discipline and Indian cultural values. He also mentioned that this course proved to be not only a medium of learning for the students but also a strong basis for life guidance.

The program concluded with the national anthem in a very dignified atmosphere, where all the people present in one voice reiterated their resolve to build a healthy, cultured and aware India. This closing session became a symbol of the continuous commitment of the India Study Centre, through which the objective of taking Indian knowledge-tradition, Ayurveda and holistic health-vision to every section of the society is continuously being realised.
