Construction of e-bus and elevated road is proposed to reach Noida Airport.

Jagran correspondent, Noida. The authority will hold talks at the government level regarding two big projects for the connectivity of Noida International Airport to be built in Jewar. One of these is 500 e-buses running in Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna City and the other is the proposed elevated road on Yamuna Pushta.

Being nodal, only the top officials of Noida Authority will express their opinion at the government level. After getting approval from this, the proposal will be placed in the board. However, the final decision will be taken by the government.

Let us tell you that an elevated road has to be built on Yamuna Pushta. Uttar Pradesh Irrigation Department has not given NOC for this. After getting NOC, NHAI will be requested for construction. An elevated road will be built on Yamuna Pushta Road from near Sector-94 roundabout, which will reach Sector-150.

From there it will be connected to Yamuna and Noida-Greno Expressway. Noida Authority has taken a decision to build an elevated road here. Pushta's land is part of Uttar Pradesh Irrigation Department. In such a situation, no work can be done here without the permission of the Irrigation Department.

The Board of Noida Authority had decided to get the construction of elevated road on Yamuna Pushta done by UPEDA. Whatever cost incurred in the construction will be borne by Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Development Authority. This proposal was approved after discussion in the board meeting of Noida Authority.

Noida Authority CEO Dr Lokesh M: Earlier this expressway was to be made a six-lane elevated and eight-lane on ground, but now it will be made only an elevated road. However, now NOC from Uttar Pradesh Irrigation Department is awaited. Apart from this, the ambitious plan to launch 500 electric buses in Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway area is currently stuck.

Regarding this project of about Rs 675 crore, the three development authorities Noida, Greater Noida and YIDA have clearly said that it is not possible at present to put so many buses on the road simultaneously. A better option would be to field 250 buses in the first phase and check the response. This will also reduce the Viability Gap Funding (VGF) burden on the three authorities and we can provide better infrastructure.

300 buses are to be operated in Noida, 100-100 in Greater Noida and YEIDA, but SPV for depot, charging station, route and operation has not been formed yet. Operating such a large number of buses simultaneously is impractical in the current circumstances. Urging the government to do it in phases and according to actual demand. All three authorities will present their views to the government regarding this.
