Jagran correspondent, Sitamarhi. Sita Mandir construction update: Another important step has been taken towards the construction of a grand and divine temple of Mata Sita in Punaura Dham.
The executing agency selected for the construction of the temple has started the construction of the construction shed. After Kharmas, the main construction work of the temple will be formally started.
After completion of the tender process, the work order has been issued to Ahluwalia Construction by Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation. Along with this, preliminary arrangements related to construction are being made in the Punaura Dham complex.
The proposed temple will be constructed on the lines of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, which involves upgrading the existing structure of the temple and construction of new buildings.
About Rs 942 crore will be spent on this ambitious project. A time limit of 42 months has been set to complete the temple construction work.
Recently, during the District Foundation Day function, Art, Culture and Tourism Minister Arun Shankar Prasad had announced that the construction work of Mata Janaki Temple will be started after Kharmas.
Tourism department will build five star hotel
At the Foundation Day function, the Tourism Minister had said that after the construction of the grand temple of Mata Sita, Sitamarhi will emerge as a major religious tourism center for tourists from India and abroad.
Keeping this in mind, construction of a five star hotel is also proposed by the Tourism Department. For this, the district administration has been asked to provide 15 to 20 acres of land.
Land acquisition and demarcation completed
In this regard, District Magistrate Richie Pandey said that the work of land acquisition and demarcation for the construction of the temple in Punaura Dham has been completed.
The demarcation work of some water logged areas will also be completed soon. He said that the district administration is fully prepared for the construction project of Mata Sita Temple and the construction work will gain momentum soon.
