Jagran correspondent, Sultanpur. Witness Ramchandra Dubey was cross-examined on Tuesday in the defamation case filed against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. MP-MLA Court Magistrate Shubham Verma has fixed January 6 for the remaining cross-examination of the witness.
In the year 2018, Rahul Gandhi is accused of making objectionable remarks against the then National President of BJP and current Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Bangalore and calling him a murderer.
Former chairman of District Cooperative Bank and BJP leader Vijay Mishra has filed a defamation complaint against Rahul Gandhi. His advocate Santosh Pandey said that MP-MLA Court Magistrate Shubham Verma has summoned witness Ramchandra Dubey for the remaining cross-examination on January 6.
This is the matter: BJP leader Vijay Mishra, former president of District Cooperative Bank, alleges that on July 15, 2018, party workers Anirudh Shukla and Dinesh Kumar had shown a video clip on mobile, in which Rahul Gandhi was making derogatory remarks on Amit Shah.
He was giving this statement in a press conference held in Bangalore. He was blaming Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the facts related to the death of Judge Loya.
The Supreme Court has given clean chit to Shah in this matter. On the basis of the statements and evidence of the complainant and witnesses, a defamation case is being prosecuted against Rahul Gandhi in the special court.
