Case registered against two youths in connection with the death of a youth last year in Ghaziabad.
Jagran correspondent, Ghaziabad. On May 15 last year, a young man was found seriously injured in the District MMG Hospital. Relatives took him to GTB Hospital in Delhi, where the young man died shortly after treatment.
The youth's father declared his son's death a murder, while the Nandgram police did not register a case even after the complaint. Being upset, the victim filed an application in the court. On the orders of the court, a case has been registered against two youths in Nandgram police station.
Kishori Lal, a resident of Bharat Nagar, Khoda, said in her complaint that her son Surendra alias Sonu had gone to his acquaintance Gaurav on the night of 15th May to collect Rs 50,000 that had been lent to him. Since then there was no trace of his son. It is alleged that Gaurav and his brother-in-law Anuj made Gaurav drink alcohol, snatched Rs 38,000 and his mobile and left him dead.
To make his son's death look like an accident, he staged an accident along with the bike at the Meerut intersection and the accused fled away leaving his son on the bench of District MMG Hospital. The victim searched extensively and found Surendra on the bench in the district hospital. After this the doctors referred his son to GTB.
The victim says that his son's death was murder, yet the police did not register a case. In this regard, ACP Nandgram Ziauddin Ahmed says that a case has been registered on the orders of the court. Further action will be taken based on the facts that emerge during investigation in the case.
