Following false rumors of a bomb in a school, Delhi schools tightened security as a precautionary measure.

Jagran correspondent, South Delhi. If you are alone in school or market, then be alert, do not use mobile while walking on the streets and in any uncomfortable or suspicious situation, make noise and ask for help. Children are being made alert by giving similar messages in schools.

In fact, after reports of missing children and false rumors of a bomb in the school in the last few days, Delhi schools have tightened security as a precautionary measure. Visitor entry norms and ID verification have been made mandatory along with deployment of additional security personnel at the school gate, implementing multi-level checks especially at the time of pick and drop.

In fact, the news that has emerged in the last few days has increased the concern. In such a situation, schools have increased security arrangements as a precautionary measure. Sujit Eric Masih, Principal of Apeejay School, Saket, says that instead of panicking, parents and students have been asked to be alert and follow safety standards. Children are being made aware through awareness sessions, role plays, and street plays in the classrooms.

At the same time, Divya Bhatia, Principal of Amity International School, Saket, says that security protocols are already implemented in the school. During holidays, the teachers on duty keep vigil till the buses and vans. Parents are allowed to drop and pick up their children only at the points made inside the school premises. At present, ID card has been made mandatory for entry into the school. Children are being made aware to be careful, always stay in a group and remain alert.

Monitoring and CCTV surveillance at entry-exit.

In schools, surveillance has been increased at the entry and exit points during morning and afternoon holidays and children traveling by bus, van or accompanied by parents are being sent with full caution. In view of the current security concerns, security arrangements have been tightened as a precaution. A complete ban has been imposed on the entry of outsiders and instructions have been issued to increase CCTV surveillance along with strict checking at entry and exit points.
