Jagran correspondent, Lucknow. Businessman Sanjay Kumar Chaudhary, resident of BBD Green City, was lured by cyber thugs with huge profits in the clothing business. Made him invest Rs 80 lakh. After this neither profit was given nor money was returned.

It is alleged that the fraud was done in the name of a childhood friend living in America. After realizing that he was cheated, he lodged a report at the cyber crime police station, on which the police have registered a report.

Sanjay, a resident of BBD Green City, runs an electronics showroom. According to Sanjay, he was defrauded of Rs 80 lakh in a planned manner. Sanjay told that his acquaintance Pawan Kumar Tiwari is currently settled in America.

In the name of Pawan, he was contacted through mobile phone and lured with the promise of investing in the textile business. After this the thug introduced him to Avanti Bhatt, who introduced herself as a Delhi resident fashion designer. According to Sanjay, Avanti Bhatt sent him a link on December 24, in which he was asked to invest Rs 50 thousand.

After this, a total of Rs 80 lakh was recovered from him in the name of investment through various links and requisitions. He was told that this amount was invested in Bitcoin and crypto currency. It was said that it would be returned with 10 to 15 percent interest.

Sanjay told that initially he also received some refund amount, which kept his faith, but when he demanded the refund of his total deposited amount, Avanti Bhatt did the withdrawal process on the pretext of 30 percent tax deduction and the amount did not come into his account.

Sanjay complained about this to the cyber crime cell on January 3. After investigation, the cyber crime cell asked to lodge a report in the cyber police station. According to Inspector Brijesh Kumar Yadav, the thugs are being traced with the help of surveillance.
