With the aim of strengthening the Self-reliant India campaign and connecting local MSME industries with the defense sector, MSME Defense Conclave-2026 will be organized on 16 and 17 January 2026 at Adityapur Auto Cluster. Information to this effect was given by Chamber President Manav Kedia in a press conference held at Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry today.
He said that this conclave is being organized under the joint aegis of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Adityapur Small Industries Association (ASIA) and Bharat Chamber of Commerce (Nodal Agency), in which Laghu Udyog Bharti, BEML and other business organizations are playing the role of partner.
The conclave will be inaugurated by the country's Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Seth, as the chief guest on January 16. On this occasion, retired Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha and other senior officers of the Defense Department will be present as special guests.
MSMEs of Jharkhand will get benefits
On this occasion, ASIA President Inder Aggarwal said that the main objective of the conclave is to provide work opportunities in the defense sector to the MSME industries of Adityapur Industrial Area. At present around 17,000 MSME units across the country are associated with the defense sector, but the participation of Jamshedpur and surrounding areas is extremely limited.
Through this conclave, local entrepreneurs will get clear information about what type of products can be manufactured in the defense sector. He said that now new doors will open in the defense sector for local industries working in automobile and railway sectors, which will benefit the MSME industries of entire Kolhan and Jharkhand.
Celebrities related to defense sector will gather in the conclave
Keka Sharma, General Secretary of India Chamber of Commerce, said that the Defense Ministry has been involving the private sector to encourage MSME industries for the last several years. Such events have been organized in states like West Bengal, Rajasthan, Odisha, Bihar and Chhattisgarh and now in view of the industrial potential of Jamshedpur, this conclave is being organized here.
He said that exhibitions, seminars and workshops will be organized in this event, in which micro, small and medium industrial units can participate. Experienced experts from Air Force, Navy and Army will be present in the conclave, who will make the entrepreneurs aware of the possibilities in the defense sector.
Avik Rai, Secretary, Bharat Chamber of Commerce, said that for the first time in the entire Jharkhand, the State Level Defense Conclave is being organized in Jamshedpur, which is an important opportunity for the MSME entrepreneurs of the state.
Praveen Gutgutia, General Secretary of Asia, said that till now Adityapur Industrial Area has been producing world class production for the automobile sector and this conclave will also create new opportunities in the defense sector. During this time, about 50 stalls will be set up, including 5-6 stalls associated with the Defense Ministry, where information about essential products will be given to the entrepreneurs.
