Pollution in the capital has reached dangerous levels.

State Bureau, New Delhi. At present, pollution in the capital has reached a dangerous situation. But compared to the year 2024, there has been a reduction in pollution this year. The number of satisfactory category days in the capital in the year 2025 has been more than last year. In the last nine years (except 2020), the year 2025 has recorded the highest number of days in the satisfactory category.

The Delhi government believes that this figure underlines the effective implementation of various pollution control measures implemented in the capital. From the comparative analysis of monthly AQI (January–November) it is clear that in eight out of 11 months of the year 2025, the air quality was better than that of the year 2024, while in one month the AQI remained at the same level.

This year, a decline in the average AQI was recorded in January, February, March, May, June, July, October and November 2025, which shows improvement in air quality. The number of days in the ‘satisfactory’ category in the period January to November has increased from 66 days in 2024 to 79 in 2025.

Delhi's air is worse than Pakistan's
