Development works will start in South Delhi at a cost of Rs 300 crore.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will lay the foundation stone of development works worth more than Rs 300 crore in three assembly constituencies of South Delhi - Badarpur, Sangam Vihar and Deoli on Sunday. South Delhi MP Ramveer Singh Bidhuri said that construction work worth Rs 85 crore in Badarpur, Rs 115 crore in Sangam Vihar and Rs 104 crore in Deoli will be started.
In these development works, roads, drains, wedding processions, dispensaries, reconstruction of schools and development of parks including toilets and other construction works will be done so that the standard of living of the people of these areas can be improved. He said that Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has given adequate funds to provide amenities and facilities to the public in these areas as well as in all areas of Delhi.
Recently, when the seven MPs had met the Chief Minister, he had also assured that there would be no shortage of funds for development works. The departments that have sanctioned funds for development in these areas include Chief Minister Development Fund, Rural Development Board, Urban Development Department, Gramodaya Yojana and DUCIB. Apart from this, funds have also been released for development schemes from the Parliamentarian Fund.
