National Voters' Day Today, Young Voters And BLOs Will Be Honored In UP

State Bureau, Lucknow. On the occasion of National Voters' Day, programs will be organized across the state on Sunday, January 25. The state level program will be held at Mercury Auditorium located at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan from 2 pm onwards. In which women and young voters will be honoured.

This year's theme is ''My India-My Vote''. The objective of the program is to encourage active participation of citizens in the democratic process and strengthen voter awareness.

The chief guest of the state level program will be Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa. Voters' Day is being celebrated every year since 2011 to commemorate the foundation day of the Election Commission of India.

Women and young voters will be honored on Voters' Day. Booth Level Officers (BLOs), BLO Supervisors, Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and District Election Officers who have done excellent work in Special Intensive Review (SIR) will also be honoured.

During the program, ideas will be shared on the role of voters in strengthening democracy, importance of voting and further strengthening the electoral system. Along with this, an exhibition will be organized on the theme 'Journey of Elections'.
