Police Encounter In Kanpur, Second Accused Of Robbery From Female Inspector Arrested

During the same intensive checking, late on Wednesday night, during an encounter on Dalhan Road in Rawatpur, the police arrested the vicious robber Niaz Ahmed, originally a resident of Sakraura village of Colonelganj, West of Gonda, and sent him to jail. Was. While his two companions had fled from the spot.

On Sunday morning, Kalyanpur Police and Crime Branch team had an encounter with the robbers near Bara Sirohi Canal Bridge in Kalyanpur. During intensive checking, when the police stopped a suspicious bike rider, the youth riding the bike opened fire on the police team. After which, in retaliation, one of the robbers was shot in the leg while his accomplice escaped from the spot.

The arrested youth was identified as the vicious robber Dhanraj alias Vijay, a resident of Jhinjhana in Shamli district. The vicious robber, along with the robber Niaz Ahmed, has confessed to the robbery of a retired woman. A country-made pistol, two live cartridges and three thousand rupees have been recovered from him. Not only this, the bike which was used in the robbery with the woman has also been recovered.

The police sent the injured robber to CHC for treatment and are now engaged in investigation. DCP West SM Qasim Abidi said that in the encounter, Dhanraj alias Vijay, an associate of robber Niaz Ahmed, resident of Shamli, has been arrested. A dozen cases are already registered against him. He has been sent to jail and his absconding accomplice is being searched.
