Jagran correspondent, Haldwani. Even though the weather has cleared in Uttarakhand after rain and snowfall, but this weather will take a turn again. An alert has been issued for the hilly areas till January 28. And spring brought spring with itself. The drought that had been going on since the beginning of the winter season in Uttarakhand ended and relief rained from the sky. Due to heavy snowfall, the mountain areas shone like silver. So at the same time, showers in the plains eliminated the effect of dry cold. A total of 22 millimeters (mm) of rainfall was recorded in 24 hours amid changing weather patterns from the mountains to the plains over the weekend. However, the average rainfall till 24 January is 31.7 mm. In such a situation, there has been 31 percent less rainfall than normal.

At the same time, if we look at the district wise rainfall situation in the state, Bageshwar has received the maximum rainfall. According to the Meteorological Centre, Bageshwar receives a normal rainfall of 26.2 mm. But on Friday 29.3 mm rain was recorded. In such a situation, there was 37 percent more clouds than the average rainfall. Almora, Nainital, Dehradun and Haridwar districts also received more than normal rainfall. Whereas, Tehri district recorded 70 percent less rainfall than normal. The US city ranks second in the district with least rainfall. There has been 60 percent less rainfall here.

Possibility of fog in plain areas

According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of fog in the plains from Sunday. Whereas, there are chances of rain in the mountainous areas. An alert has been issued for the hilly areas till January 28.
