A sensation spread in the area after the dead bodies of a young man and a girl were found hanging from a tree in Akara Gabri Toli of Kamdara police station area of Gumla district of Jharkhand. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the local people reached the spot and informed the police.
Police reached the spot and took both the bodies into their custody and sent them to Gumla Sadar Hospital for post-mortem for further action. The deceased have been identified as 16-year-old Soni Kumari, resident of Podho Toli, and 20-year-old Ramesh Cheek Badaik, resident of Data village.
Police engaged in investigation
According to family members, Soni Kumari had left home on February 21 to appear for the matriculation examination, but did not return after that. Despite extensive searches, no trace of him could be found.
The family members were continuously searching for him and inquiries were also being made in the surrounding areas. On February 23, the bodies of both were found hanging from a tree near the paved road near the pond near Akara Gabri Toli.
Police reached the spot and inspected the spot and completed the necessary legal procedure. Police officials say that the entire matter is being investigated and all aspects are being taken into consideration.
Statements of family members are being recorded and facts related to the incident are being collected. Police are also trying to find out under what circumstances both of them reached here together and what happened to them. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the village after this incident.
