Weather patterns changed in two days, dense fog increased cold and fear of accidents.
Jagran correspondent, Sirsa. The change in weather in the district since last two days has once again increased the feeling of cold. Due to dense fog in the morning, the common people as well as the drivers are facing a lot of trouble. Due to low visibility, the possibility of road accidents has also increased.
According to the data of the Meteorological Department, changes in temperature were recorded on Saturday and Sunday. A drop of two degrees was seen in the maximum temperature. On Sunday, the maximum temperature of the district was recorded at 27 degrees while the minimum temperature was recorded at 12 degrees.
Although people are getting some relief due to sunlight during the day, the effect of winter continues due to cold wind and fog in the morning and late evening. The effect of smog is more visible in rural areas. Farmers are also keeping an eye on this change in weather.
Elderly man dies while crossing road in fog
An elderly man died in a road accident due to dense fog on Sunday morning in village Mithadi of Odhan area. The deceased has been identified as 70-year-old Rupeshwar Sharma, a resident of the village. According to relatives, Rupeshwar Sharma used to go every day at around seven in the morning to buy newspapers from the shop located near the Gurudwara. Even on Sunday he had gone out to buy newspapers. Meanwhile, when he was crossing the road, a speeding car coming from Dabwali towards Sirsa hit him.
In injured condition, he was brought to Odhan Community Health Center, where doctors declared him dead. Investigating officer Head Constable Rajendra Godara has registered a case against the unknown car driver on the statement of Deepak Kumar, son of the deceased. After post-mortem the body was handed over to the relatives.
