Jagran correspondent, Rudrapur. Now the police has tightened its grip on Saurabh Behad, councilor son of Kichha MLA Tilakraj Behad, who created a political uproar by getting himself attacked. On Saturday, Saurabh was called to the Housing Development Police post, where the police team interrogated him strictly.
Many times Saurabh became very speechless in front of the barrage of questions and at times he faltered. Ultimately he accepted that there was a dispute with his wife. To get his sympathy, they hatched such a big conspiracy and hid this act until it was exposed. The police received a notice from Saurabh that whenever he would be called for cooperation in the investigation, he would have to compulsorily appear.
Saurabh Behad, son of Kichha MLA Tilakraj Behad and housing development councilor resident of Alliance, was attacked on Sunday night by three people riding a bike without a number plate. Due to which he was injured and was admitted to a private hospital. After the attack on Saurabh, senior leaders of BJP along with Congressmen had also reached the hospital to see him. The pressure for the arrest of the attackers also started increasing continuously.
Taking action in the case, the police arrested bike-riding attackers Vansh Kumar, Badshah and Deepak Singh from Sidekul Road late on Wednesday night and recovered two pistols and a knife from them. During interrogation, he told that he had attacked at the behest of Councilor Saurabh Behad's friend Inder Narang, resident of Adarsh Colony. When Inder Narang was interrogated, it was revealed that Saurabh had pressurized his wife to attack him to get her sympathy.
Inder has been granted bail from the police station and all three attackers have been granted bail from the court. Also, the police had issued a notice to interrogate the main conspirator of the incident, Councilor Saurabh Behad.
On Saturday, Councilor Saurabh Behad reached Housing Development Post, where the investigator interrogated him for about an hour regarding the reasons for the attack. It is said that Saurabh faltered many times in front of the police questions and he even started sweating on tough questions. But Saurabh also admitted that there was a dispute with his wife and he has not spoken to her for a long time. To get his wife's sympathy, he got himself attacked. They did not know that after this the incident would become so big.
Kotwal Transit Camp Mohan Pandey said that Saurabh Behad will be interrogated further, he has also been served a notice asking him to cooperate during future investigations.
