Police have taken action in the case of vandalism and assault on employees that took place on February 6.
Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarnagar. On February 6, people entered the rubber factory near Baavandara bridge of Nagar Kotwali and created a ruckus. When they protested, they beat up the employees and created a ruckus by vandalizing them. Not only this, he threatened not to allow the factory to operate. In this case, on Tuesday, based on the complaint of the entrepreneur, a case has been registered against three named people and 100 unknown people.
Anshul Singhal, a resident of Yogendrapuri Colony of the city, along with his partner Utkarsh Jain, has set up a factory named Tirupati Enterprises for melting rubber near Bavanadara bridge of the city police station. Both the partners have been operating the factory for many years.
It is alleged that on February 6, at 10.30 am, Billu Rana, Vishal Singh and Ashish Tyagi along with more than 100 people climbed the wall of the factory and entered inside. The employees posted here were misbehaved, intimidated and threatened. When protested, the accused along with their associates pelted stones. This created panic among the factory workers.
The attackers threatened not to allow the factory to operate. As the uproar increased, police and factory owners arrived. The police dispersed the attacking crowd. The accused left after giving two days' time, which created fear among the factory operators and workers. On Monday night, on the complaint of entrepreneur Anshul Singhal, the police have registered a case against Billu Rana, Vishal Singh and Ashish Tyagi and their 100 unknown associates for vandalism, assault including stone pelting and threatening.
City Kotwali in-charge Bablu Kumar said that the footage of CCTV cameras is being scrutinized. A team has been deployed to arrest the accused. Action will be taken after identifying unknown people.
Pollution Control Board is investigating
Entrepreneur Anshul Singhal claims that his factory has permission from the Regional Pollution Control Board. He is operating the factory as per standards. If the situation continues like this, they will be forced to migrate from here. However, the factory is far away from the populated area. Regarding this, the entrepreneurs met the DM and demanded action along with security.
On the other hand, Regional Pollution Control Board official Geetesh Chandra said that investigation is going on regarding the factory. After the uproar and complaint by the villagers, Junior Engineer Raja Gupta was sent to the factory to get the investigation done, in the initial investigation everything was found to be fine.
