This time the journey is going to be easier than ever for lakhs of devotees coming to Magh Mela, the holy festival of faith, devotion and Sangam bath. Keeping in mind the convenience of the devotees, the Transport Department has decided to start advance booking system of roadways buses for Magh Mela. This initiative will not only provide relief to the passengers from crowd and chaos, but will also ensure safe and smooth movement of passengers.
It was decided by the Transport Department to operate about 400 additional buses from Azamgarh region for Magh Mela. Buses will be operated from places identified by the Transport Department. Every year during Magh Mela, a large number of devotees from the districts reach Prayagraj. Passengers had to face a lot of problems due to uncertain availability of buses and long queues.
Keeping this problem in mind, this time a special scheme has been prepared by the Transport Department, under which devotees will be able to book bus tickets for their journey in advance. Preference will be given to the devotees going to the fair from far away places. Buses will be parked at marked places at scheduled times, through which devotees can travel by buses.
Along with this, special facilities will be provided to the devotees traveling in groups. Devotees traveling in groups can come to the RM office and book buses. Giving priority to the devotees, buses will be available at their nearest places at the scheduled time.
Booking of buses for Magh Mela has been started, any devotee who wants to go in group or alone can book the bus by coming to the office. This arrangement will also make the journey easier for the devotees.- Manoj Bajpayee, RM.
