Policemen beat up shopkeeper (symbolic picture)
Digital Desk, Jabalpur. A case that shames the image of the police has come to light from Chichli police station area of Narsinghpur district. During the Narmada Jayanti fair, the policemen not only beat up a shopkeeper for demanding money for breakfast, but his sister, who came to intervene, was also accused of abusing and indecency. The victim shopkeeper has lodged a complaint in the Superintendent of Police office.
According to the victim shopkeeper Anil Kumar Kahar, on the evening of 26 January, some policemen had come to have breakfast at his cart situated on the banks of the Sitarewa river. After breakfast, when they were asked to pay, they became angry and started arguing. It is alleged that after some time, ASI Chauhan, constable Mohit Yadav and other policemen, who arrived in Dial-100 vehicle, forcibly dragged Anil to the police station, beat him fiercely and threatened to implicate him in a false case.

When Anil's sister Chandni Kahar came to save her brother, she was also abused and beaten. After the incident, the victim's family is in shock and is pleading for justice.
Responding to the matter, Additional Superintendent of Police Sandeep Bhuria said that the entire incident is being investigated. Preliminary investigation has revealed information about payment of Rs 60 through Paytm. The real reason behind the dispute is being ascertained and strict action will be taken against those found guilty.
